End of January Studies

With this first month already up, I've got to admit that I'm pretty happy with the work I've been doing-- at least privately. I've almost entirely filled up a sketchbook after finishing another in December and as of late, I've been trying to pay close attention to painting technique.

These are two studies that I did as stress relief, only about half an hour in total, mostly for the former. The foot is from a prompt on dA.

January Studies

2017 is going to be a pretty big year for me. I become an adult this year-- I face college and graduation, not to mention a serious jab at the art world. It's a period of learning and finding a balance between internalizing lessons and my actual work, which sounds far simpler than it truthfully is in practice. 

To get myself off on the right foot, I took my new Intuos Pro for a spin and did a series of studies. The first four were done within the span of an hour altogether, while the latter took about 30 minutes.
